Correction: Startups use tech, ‘gamification’ for public health problems
December 11, 2021

We are thrilled to share this recent press coverage in Roll Call, with the following correction:

In the recent article, "Startups use tech, 'gamification' for public health problems," the author mentions that "users can spin a 'prize wheel' every few days for a chance to win larger payouts."

While random variable rewards—such as prize wheels—have been studied as a common gamification method for motivation and behavior change in certain individuals, no Wellth program, product, or platform currently offers any randomized variable rewards or lotteries.
