Christina Jenkins MD is a strategic advisor and venture investor with expertise spanning clinical medicine, venture capital, health systems, and health plans. Her unique perspective on healthcare providers, payers, and consumers enables successful innovation, growth, and improved outcomes.
Dr. Jenkins works alongside healthcare leaders to implement growth, clinical value improvement, and digital health strategies in alignment with population needs. Previously, she was the founding CEO of OneCity Health Services, a subsidiary of NYC Health + Hospitals (H+H) built to establish population health and value-based payment capabilities for 1M Medicaid and uninsured lives. There, she led a $1.2B Medicaid redesign program and scaled new integrated care models and technology platforms across 200 hospital and community-based partners.
Dr. Jenkins is a Venture Partner at Portfolia and Phoenix Venture Partners, where she fundraises and leads seed- and early-stage investments in digital health and platform companies targeting women’s health and other underserved markets.
Dr. Jenkins is a Board Director of Independence Health Group (parent of Independence Blue Cross and AmeriHealth Caritas) and an advisor to multiple value-generating healthcare companies. She is a former board-certified Internal Medicine Physician, serving as resident, then Clinical Instructor in Medicine at Mount Sinai in NYC. She is a member of the Kauffman Fellows, completing her fellowship at New Enterprise Associates. She earned her MD from Northwestern University Medical School and her BS in Industrial Management from Purdue University.
