Bill Gil is a Healthcare Management Consultant with 35+ years of experience as a healthcare executive and medical group industry.
Most recently Mr. Gil has served as Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Providence Southern California Medical Foundations, leading the two Providence medical foundations: Facey Medical Foundation and Providence Medical Institute. In his role and CEO, he successfully licensed Providence Health Network (PHN), a California HMO plan, and was responsible for the growth of the business from 250 to 400 physicians through organic growth and mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, Mr. Gill oversaw successful, on schedule, and within budget conversion of the medical groups to a unified electronic health record (EHR) system.
Bill is the former CEO of Facey Medical Foundation, a nonprofit medical foundation that manages Facey Medical Group, a 160-physician medical group. In this position, Bill led the merger of Providence Health System and Facey in 2012 towards a successful integration path. While at Facey, Bill also oversaw the growth of Facey’s HMO business from 40,000 patients to 120,000 patients and implemented a robust population health system, resulting in being recognized with CAPG’s highest quality ranking every year.
With his extensive experience and his leadership skills, Bill is focused on growing both physician foundations while enhancing a commitment to clinical excellence through shared records and expert-to-expert collaboration.
Bill holds an MBA from Pepperdine University. He has published several articles on managed health care. Bill also teaches at the University of Southern California (USC), in the Master’s Program.
